These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Rent Long Island website and services, operated by White Light Capital LLC (“Rent Long Island,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the site or submitting a housing request, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement to use our services.
Our services
Rent Long Island provides information about furnished, temporary housing and lets you submit a housing request so we can follow up with available options. Submitting a request is an inquiry only. It does not reserve a property, guarantee availability, or create a lease or tenancy. Any rental is subject to a separate written agreement, applicable screening, and availability at the time of booking.
No guarantee of availability or accuracy
Housing options, pricing, features, and availability vary and may change without notice. We work to keep information current but do not warrant that listings or other content are complete, accurate, or error-free.
Acceptable use
You agree to provide accurate information, to use the site only for lawful purposes, and not to: submit false or fraudulent requests; harvest or scrape contact information or other data; introduce malware; attempt to gain unauthorized access; or interfere with the operation of the site.
Electronic communications
By contacting us or submitting a request, you consent to receive electronic communications from us related to your inquiry.
SMS Terms
White Light Capital LLC, doing business as Rent Long Island, offers an optional text-messaging program to respond to and follow up on your furnished-housing request. You opt in by checking the SMS consent box on our housing request form. Messages may include available housing options, availability updates, scheduling and service notifications related to your inquiry. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. You can also reach us at info@rentlongisland.com or 855-990-7368. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any rental or service. Full details are in our SMS Terms, and your mobile information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property
The site and its content, including text, graphics, logos, and the Rent Long Island name and marks, are owned by Rent Long Island or its licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-commercial license to view the site. You may not copy, reproduce, or use our content or marks without our written permission.
Third-party links
The site may link to third-party websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, products, or practices.
Fair housing
We are committed to compliance with the federal Fair Housing Act, the New York State Human Rights Law, and other applicable fair-housing laws, and we do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, familial status, disability, or any other protected class.

Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to first contact us to seek an informal resolution. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York.
